have you stopped by lonny magazine? it is a fabulous online
magazine filled with home decor inspirations and lovely pictures.
i just want to enter into their world and live in all the pretty rooms ;)
i do like online magazines. but there is something nice about
flipping through actual paper of a real magazine. i had a short
conversation with these girls about how it is sad to think of a day
where we won't have magazines anymore! they did bring up a good
point that it would be more green and eco.
with online magazines and blogs, how can they compete?
speaking of online magazines: utterly engaged issue 008 is out!
and i stumbled upon this lovely spanish craft
magazine: we love crafts. what about you? do you
have any favorite online magazines to share? :)
Lonny Magazine is SO beautiful. I can't get enough of it. I'll be sad to see print magazines go and unfortunately will have to find a different career. I design print ads for a living. I certainly wouldn't mind working for Lonny :)

ReplyDeletewell, a kindle is more eco + green than a regular book, but you'll never see me with one... :) same goes for photos - i love digital cameras, but will always want actual prints.
ReplyDeleteit makes me sad to think of a world where everything is online. :/
I know I'll probably be the only one saying this, but I can't get into Lonny! I'm sure I would LOVE it if it was in print. It looks amazing. But I've tried, and I can't get excited about reading a magazine online. :(
ReplyDeletei love lonny! it's sort of replacing the domino magazine for me :)

ReplyDeleteAll of these are really inspiring! I'll be away reading for the next couple of hours...
ReplyDeleteI haven't read many online magazines. Mostly blogs. I may have to start though.
ReplyDeleteI heart lonny mag! thanks for sharing these great images!
ReplyDeleteEh, replacing goods made from recycled or farmed paper with electronics will never be eco-friendly. At least you can recycle a magazine and get a new one out of it. Electronics get sent to third world countries where poor people take them apart and get lead poisoning, tossing the leftover heavy metals and chemicals into the earth.
ReplyDeleteSo the idea of losing magazines to online ones is still sad no matter how you look at it.
I love online mags, because they are so easy to access.
ReplyDeleteBUT I love real magazines.
I am a double major and one of them is Journalism and Media. It is too too sad to think of a day when print magazines will be a thing of the past. Especially when I want to work for one.
And thanks for the Lonny Magazine.
Never heard of it before, but now, I am assuming, I just added another obsession to my list!

xx

Mila.
Thanks for the tip - I love ALL good mags, regardless of how they are printed (or not). Have you seen LMNOP - www.lmnop.com.au - very cool, designer kids focussed with lots of interesting stuff for grown-ups. Nic
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with many of the comments here. I'm all for being a good steward with God's creation, but one of the simple pleasures in life is being able to flip through and read a book/ printed publication in my hands. I do love Lonny, but in my mind it does not completely replace Domino because of its digital format. A very sad day indeed if and when printed materials become extinct.
ReplyDeleteIt´s so inspiring!
ReplyDeletebeautiful beautiful beautiful pictures. i'm going to check them out!
