city of dionne is the sweet writings of Dionne. dionne takes the most fabulous pictures and illustrates darling images. she also has really lovely etsy shop where she sells stitch prints, photographs, and other pretty things. i had the opportunity to meet dionne last summer when she put on a pretty awesome blogger social and it was so fun! this lady puts on a legit event: if you live in her area, i totally would hire her in a second for my event ;) thanks for being here today dionne!

Something that I love about Danni's bloglet is that she goes out in search of things to inspire us. It's a constant reminder that there are so many things on this blue and green earth of ours that I take for granted.
Can I let you in on a little secret? For a few months now I have been keeping a very special jar. Inside I put little scraps of paper. These mismatched, random pieces of paper each have a little note about something beautiful that I see each day. A lady bug on my windshield... a little boy holding his baby sister's hand... an unexpected garden between two towering sky-scrapers... Then at the end of each week I can look over all the little bits of happiness that have sweetened my week.
What would the scraps of paper in your jar of happiness say?
awww i love that idea of keeping a jarful of inspiration! something i saw this week was two squirrels playing on top of my neighbors roof, they were taking turns jumping onto a tree branch, over and over again!! who knew squirrels had such a cute personality! =)

such a great idea to put the pieces of paper in a jar! <3
small things can make me so happy: the beautiful blossoms in the trees, people you don't know smiling to you in the supermarket, my mum text messaging me, my comfortable bed with the fresh sheets....

This is a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd oh, could you please tell me what kind of flowers those are in the last picture? I'd really love them in my wedding bouquet but haven't been able to figure out what they're called!
so sweet! thanks for inspiration :) I love the lady bug on the windshield note!
ReplyDeleteYay Dionne, so fun to see you writing here. :) I have an app on my iPhone that tracks wonderful things about each day... I must admit I'm bad about updating it, but I love going back to it to get uplifted. The other great thing is that it helps document what you were doing on a specific day in your past. I love the idea of jotting down positive notes, it's amazing what can come from them.
ReplyDeleteThis post just made me really happy.
