Happy Friday everyone! Brittni here from
papernstitch with this week's diy roundup. You may remember, a little over a month ago, I did a
home diy projects roundup here on Oh, Hello Friend. And in the comments, almost all of the responses were about one project in particular: a teacup light. Since it seemed to be a popular diy, I thought I would dedicate an entire roundup to teacup diy projects. Excited? Me too.
Here we go...
The fabulous Ez of
Creature Comforts is constantly cooking up inspiring diy's, but this one (above) for a
tea painted card (along with free printable) is really singing to me this morning. Such a clever use of materials and an adorable end-result as well.
For the tea lovers in the house, why not dress up your next casual party or picnic with these sweet tea stir sticks found on Style Me Pretty. Just print out the template, make a few cuts, and you're ready to go.
And if you have some extra teacups sitting around that you'll probably never use, consider recycling them into teacup candles (page 9 in the slideshow) like the ones I found on Country Living. Its a fairly straight-forward craft that can be used to decorate your home or given away as a gift.
Now, if candles aren't your thing, reuse those old teacups to make a teacup succulent garden like the one that Epheriell Designs has created. Succulents are super easy to care for (green thumb not required) and they're the most sculptural plant you can find. So, its a win-win really.
And one more use for those discarded teacups is this
clever teacup centerpiece that can also be used as a cake topper (found on
Ruffled blog). How pretty! The romantic, vintage vibe is right up my alley.
So how will teacups inspire your next diy project?

ReplyDeleteLoved this! I did a whole tea cup month theme on my blog last year - it was sooo much fun!
