I love random found objects! Here are some things just sitting around the desk.. stamps, compasses, keys, paper goods, and vintage scissors.
It's also always fun to experiment taking photos of different angles and using my awesome zoom lens that my husband got me :)
What sort of random things do you have around your desk? :)
What a lovely desk! And your lens is obviously great! I always love photos you've taken, Danni!
ReplyDeleteAround my desk there are lots of things. My mom's photos (vintage ones), CD I've got from my boyfriend 4 years ago, also lots of rings and studs earrings. (I need to be more organized I know).

My desk is pretty much just full of random papers (and not of the pretty craft-making sort) and pens that don't work. At my sewing table, though, I have that exact same pair of scissors! Mine are reproduction, but I still love them--they're perfect for little tiny projects and they look so pretty just sitting out.
ReplyDeleteFun photos! What is that odd shaped scissors for?

Those scissors and pocket watch look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Little found objects are the most fun to gather and collect. Thanks for sharing Danni!
ReplyDeleteWow...how inspiring. If my desk had those beautiful items on it I'd be super happy to get to work! Just lovely
ReplyDeleteThat makes my desk look so sad. It just may be the inspiration I needed to clean it!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny, I have the same little watch! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Danni,
ReplyDeleteOn my work desk I have things from home that make me happy. I have a little collection of porcelain figures of animals from antique stores, it's is like an enchanted desk. I also have a miniature bible and coral that i collected in Mexico on my honeymoon. Everytime I look at it, I smile inside.

great finds, especially the pocket clock! i wished i had a desk full of goodies!
ReplyDeleteI sadly have no desk at the moment. But my nightstand is piled with books and cards and other things that arrive and have no other spot for. I love how all your items really have a sense of adventure to them. And where is that "Smile" card from??
ReplyDeletei love it how you make such simple posts so amazing with your photography!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is amazing! I found it through the veda house, and i feel incredibly inspired (I saw the post about your beautiful wedding)

Wow!My desk is not nearly as cool as yours. Mine basically is filled with papers and pens. Lame.
ReplyDeleteI think the things around a persons desk can really say something about who they are. Yours do!! All those things are totally your aesthetic.
ReplyDeleteMy (office) desk unfortunately doesn't have the wealth of lovely details and things that yours has... it has a LOT of scattered papers. Which reminds me that I need to get some filing done asap!
ReplyDeletePretty photos. I want to take all of those things and make them into jewelry.
ReplyDeleteI love the gift tag. Is that one of your stamps? Are you selling any of your stamps online?
ReplyDeletelovely things, beautiful vintage scissors. my desk is tidy at the mo,but normally covered in fabrics and sewing stuff.
ReplyDeleteGood eye. Love your collection. I can see that photograph hanging in a frame.
ReplyDeletelove this. your photos always so inspiring. and curious - what kind of lens did nick get you?
ReplyDeleteI love them too. I have a little shadow box full of them.
