Hi Friends! I'm in Indianapolis right now attending the Delta Faucet Maker Blogger Event. I figured this was a great opportunity since Nick & I bought a house and are looking to fix it up and everything - what better way to view everything than at the headquarters of one of the leading faucet brands! So excited to be visiting a new city, and one of my good blog friends is here too - Brittni from Papernstitch! Any recommendations for things to do while I'm in town? You know I love antiques and food ;) Will be sure to report back on my trip here.

  2. Definitely the Flying Cupcake, my roomie used to bake there! And also Midland Antiques!

The Botanical Gardens are pretty awesome too, if you can get there before the heat comes :)

    Enjoy!!

  3. You're so close to me!

Hit the Art Museum or the Children's Museum if you have time. They're both amazing and wander through Noblesville and Broadripple if you're looking for some fun architecture. I haven't done the antique scene down there, but there's great food everywhere.

  5. I agree with the gals above, go to Flying Cupcake and Midland Antiques in downtown. The Art Museum has the Lilly Oldfields house which was Mr. Eli Lilly's house that he donated to the museum and it's gorgeous. Hope you guys have a great time while you're in town! If you're in the Carmel area, drive by the Palladium, our new performing arts hall. I work there and even though we don't have shows going on right now, it's a great piece of architecture!

  6. Oh my gosh, yes, Midland Arts and Antiques is a must-stop!! Broad Ripple is a great little area for shopping, too.

I highly recommend Cafe Patachou for breakfast/brunch and Bazbeaux Pizza for dinner (my favorite is the Garden pizza!)

  7. You could see the shops on Mass Ave on your way to the Flying Cupcake. You could also check out Homespun Modern Handmade on Washington St in the Irvington neighborhood. There's also the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg downtown. You could also come look at me at the Robert H McKinney IU School of Law, but that's probably not so exciting.

  8. Is the event in Carmel at the headquarters? If you're going to venture away from that area, Borad Ripple good, Irvington area where Homespun is great. If you want wine and have the time to go even further away, I highly recommend going toward Bloomington, IN and hitting Oliver Winery-the grounds are beautiful and the wine isn't too bad either.

  22. It's so hard for me to single out just one item from her shop, but if I just really had to pick one, it would be the Layered Star Sterling Silver Bracelet.
