lovely wear:

I wanted mustard tights for some pictures that Nick & I were taking and I couldn't find them online or anything. So I went to the mall to look. I hardly ever go to the mall, I'm not a big fan. So after going to several stores & thinking the chances of finding mustard tights were now very slim, I stopped in at one last shop, Charlotte Russe. They had no tights but one of the employees told me they have a couple left in the sale bin. So I head that way and sure enough, they had one pair of mustard tights left - and on sale too! I know it's silly to share a story about finding tights but I love finding things like that. I rarely ever find anything I am actually looking for like this ;)

Anyway. today's outfit consists of my 'lucky' mustard tights (you can get some here at american apparel or modcloth) a plaid dress, a vintage $4 bag from a garage sale, a few accessories, and some super cute shoes I received from Miz Mooz to review - I choose the "Hayden" style. Have you heard of this brand? I love all the styles and they are so comfortable! I wore them all day on hard concrete floor at our craft show in San Francisco a couple weekend's ago and my feet didn't even hurt at all, after standing for 8 hours. legit! :) I often choose style over quality and it's probably not the best for my poor feet at times - what about you? do you find comfort more important or shoe style?

  2. Those mustard tights are lovely! I don't think your story is silly, I can completely relate to that little rush of happiness when you've found exactly what you were looking for after searching :] The fact it was on sale is a nice bonus.

I end up wavering between comfort and style. Usually, I'm pretty strict on it being comfortable AND looking good, but I seem to end up slipping more toward style for heels; they feel comfortable when I try them on, but my feet certainly tell me otherwise a little while later.

  3. I would typically say style, but after this last weekend of going out and having my feet eaten up by various pairs of stylish yet uncomfortable shoes, I'm sticking with my Toms right now.

I love how you accessorized this outfit. So cute!
