shop progress:

January 29, 2013


I think at the house update, someone commented they wanted to see an update of the shop progress. So here are some pics I've been snapping over the past couple weeks. We'll have an official post of shop pics once the shop is all done (going to be shot by Kimberly Genevieve, she is so good!) for those of you who aren't in the area but are curious to see how it looks :)












Nick has been building a lot, it is so cool to see him go at it with such ambition! He's got some serious DIY skills - I never would have thought "we could make that" before, but now I'm like, "hey, you can make this!" ;) This is all pretty surreal, the fact that we're really doing it. We're really opening a shop! We've been thinking about it for so long and it happened pretty fast but it definitely feels like the opportunity opened up for us and it was the next thing to do for our brand. We're blessed. I'm so excited for you guys to see the shop during the opening this weekend. Thanks for your response & support. Can't believe it's just a couple days away!

    Oh wow, this looks like my favorite store, I'm so happy for you! And so sad that I live at the other side of the ocean.. I wish you all the best with your shop, but I guess you won't need it. I hope you open a webshop (of your store) some day too!

    Oh man! where'd you find those player piano rolls? we inherited a player piano with two giant buckets of music rolls, they are quite the novelties!
    Your shop looks awesome, can't wait to see the finished product!

    It must be such a proud moment for you, owning a shop. It is so wonderful to see pictures of the progress throughout and I appreciate you for sharing that. To some extent I have been a DIY person, so it’s especially nice to watch you use your skills on doing so many things yourself. And I must say that you have some absolutely wonderful stuff, and each person visiting your shop is sure to find something they want. The display is very beautiful.
