Was taking some photos the other day and thought I'd take a couple photos of photo 'props' I use. So if I'm taking a photo of a main subject or item, these are some items I use with styling the photo. My usual go-to props are old items like keys, postage stamps, spools, scissors, tape, etc. Lately I've liked to use dried flowers in my photos. I have a little box sitting around filled with little items like this. Do you have any items you typically like to use in your photos?
I love that you posted about this--I was just thinking today that it would be fun to use more props in my photos, but I am afraid I would spend too much time trying to get everything just right. I have to keep it simple because I am not very quick about it. :)
Since I like to post pics of snail mail, I try to use something interesting or related to the mail to cover the addresses--a rubber stamp, paper shapes, address labels, doilies, little knick knacks . . . I would love to get more creative with this and even learn more about photographing vignettes, but for now it's all about the mail. Your photos are always very inspiring with so much interest!
I love this idea! I like to use props too, but mine are usually pens, candles, make up, or a notepad! I'm adding keys and stamps to that list! ~Sara Sincerely, Sara
Oh, absolutely love these! I don't really have a set of "go-to" props, which always makes finding props a little chaotic, but fun, at the moment I get into the clicking frenzy! :)
I love your props, I've just pinned one of your photos into my pinterest board about props :) The keys give to the set a mysterious touch... xoxo GiĆ² http://www.daydreamland.it/en/
